Education: In most states, in order for you to become a mental health counselor, a master's degree is required. Schools offer master's degrees in counseling, psychology and other related mental health fields.

Demand or need for this profession: To become a good mental health counselor, you are required to have active listening because you need to listen to your client and every word their saying. You must also have a social perceptiveness which means you should be aware of others' feelings, emotions, and reactions. Another very important skill that you need to become a mental health counselor is critical thinking so you can use logic and reasoning to identify the strength and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

No, I do not think I would like to be one because I would like to walk around more. Also, I would like to help people in different ways. If anything, I would be the one needing a mental health counselor.
