Periodontist
Duties and responsibilities: The duties of a periodontist is to treat patients who have gum disease and other issues that have have to do with the gums or bones surrounding the jaw.
Salary: The salary of a periodontist is $305,820
Education: To become a periodontist you must go to medical school for four years, but then you must take a periodontics residency which usually takes around three years. You will need to pass a written and oral exam administered by the American Board of Periodontology in order to become board certified.
Qualities/ Skills needed: There are some skills needed to become a periodontist and three are, good communication skills and customer service skills.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
No I do not think I would like to be one because it doesn't really interest me.
