I agree with Thomas S. Monson because you really can't be doing the right by doing the wrong or doing the wrong by doing the right. Whatever is right you must do it by doing the right. Whatever is wrong you do by doing the wrong. It's simple logic. For example, someone cannot learn how to multiply if they are learning how to divide. Just like someone cannot learn how to divide by learning how to multiply. The main idea is that you cannot do the right by doing what's wrong. If we want to do the right, we must do the right. It is better to do the right instead of the wrong. If someone thinks that what they are doing is right when it's actually wrong, it will remain wrong no matter what they think. We can't change that fact no matter what.
