Duties and responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of an optometrist is to perform vision test and analyze results. Another thing that an optometrist does is to diagnose vision problems such as farsightedness or nearsightedness. An optometrist also checks if the patient has any eye disease such as glaucoma. Some things that they are known to do is to prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids, and if the state law permits them to they can prescribe medications.

Education: To become an optometrist you are required to have a doctoral or professional degree
Demand or need for this profession: Some skills needed to become an optometrist is to have a desire to help people, have a caring and compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform detailed and precise work.

Yes I think I would like to be one because i find it quite interesting and would love to see how that career can turn out for me. Both my siblings wear glasses except me and I wonder how it is like for people to wear glasses.
