Valentine's Day

The history of Valentine's Day is actually pretty dark. It's not completely about candy, flowers, and love letters. Valentine's Day is on February  14. February 14 was the day when two men were executed. It wasn't the same year though. Emperor Claudius II was the one who ordered the two men to be executed. Both of the men's name were Valentine. They weren't executed on the same day. They were actually different years in the 3rd century. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day
